Our first stop will be the most important capital of the Mayan world, Chichén Itzá, with its incredible architecture and culture. We will visit the Pyramid of Kukulcán, proclaimed as one of the seven wonders of the modern world. As well as the Temple of the Thousand Columns, a remarkable heritage of the Itzaes and the Observatory.
We will visit the Yaxunah community, where you can enjoy a gastronomic experience with Chef Rosalía Chay who has received recipes and traditions from her grandmothers and ancestors that allow her to preserve the Mayan culture and that have been present in her family for generations.
Rosalía's journey begins as a child, carefully guided by her grandmothers and her mother, first with the nixtamal and tortillas, then with the errands in an evolution until she reaches the one buried in the Pib of her dishes.
She has been cooking the best of traditional Mayan cuisine for 27 years at her home in Yaxunah, Yucatán.
